General Information : Employees Charities Fund

DID YOU KNOW WE HAVE A GREAT WAY TO HELP LOCAL CHARITIES?

1. YOUR GENEROSITY IS DOUBLED £1 FOR £1 BY P&G
   Last year the Employees CharitiesFund (ECF) distributed around £45,000 to local charities made up of donations from employees/associates that were matched £1 for £1
2. IT'S EASY
   All you have to do to join the ECF is to complete the form below. Your contribution to charity will then be deducted each week/month from your pay/pension. There are no hard and fast rules on how much you should give. It's entirely a matter of personal choice and is strictly confidential. You can also amend your contributions at any time
3. IT'S NOT THE COMPANY, IT'S YOU
   There are groups of employees/associates contributing to the ECF in Newcastle, Harrogate, Manchester and London. The committees for these groups consist of employee/associate representatives in each location
4. HOW IS THE FUND ADMINISTERED?
   Each Committee meets regularly to allocate funds raised. They welcome views from contributing employees/associates on local charitable groups or organisations that could benefit from the ECF
5. WHICH CHARITIES HAVE BENEFITED RECENTLY?
   Details are posted annually on notice boards. Some recent examples are:
   Newcastle - Children's Heart Unit, Freeman Hospital
   Manchester - Scout Troop flag for St. George's Day Parade
   London - Garden furniture for local hospice
   Harrogate - Yorkshire Cancer Research
6. HOW ARE THE CHARITIES/PROJECTS CHOSEN?
   If a charity is local, worthy and recommended by a contributing employee/associate it will be considered by the local ECF Committee.
7. UPON RETIREMENT
   Upon retirement you may wish to continue or indeed start to contribute to your local ECF
