Opportunity to Lead London 2012 Mayors Office City Volunteers
The UK & Ireland team that is developing the Company's Olympic plans is constantly keeping an eye out for great opportunities that are perfect for associates to consider, and we believe this is a significant one. The Mayor of London is supporting a volunteer programme for the City across the time of next years Olympic and Paralympic Games called the London Ambassadors. 8000 people will be placed around 40 sites across the Capital to interface with visitors and provide help and assistance. P&G are providing resources and expertise across the Recruitment and Training elements of the Programme but there is an additional opportunity that may appeal to each of you.
Each of the sites requires a site Manager and each of these people will report to an Area Manager who is the front line contact to the Games Time Communication Centre. These people will not be ordinary volunteers as they need to come with certain skills (many of you have exactly the skills that they call out as essential in these people) and also be able to give up a lot more time than the volunteers. Specifically the team running the programme would like individuals who have experience of managing people, calm under pressure, great communication skills and importantly would be able to give up to 90 days of their time over a six month period from the end of this year onwards.
If you are interested in finding out more can you contact Vijay Luthra on email@example.com. He can send you a detailed plan and follow up from there.
