Manchester Area Associates Second Walk - 8th June -
It was very pleasant to arrive at our starting point in Delamere Forest in Cheshire after our first walk in May took place in a “Monsoon”.

June 8th was a very pleasant day with no rain forecast so it was a bit disappointing to find only six Associates had turned up for this level six-mile walk.

Despite this the trail through the forest was very pleasant indeed, punctuated by the shrieking of thousands of black headed gulls who had arrived on the lake to nest.

After a very hearty lunch seated outside the café at the still used railway station we returned to our starting point looking forward to our next event in July.
