Manchester Associates Rivington Walk
- August 3rd -
Nine Associates assembled at the Old Barn in Rivington Village on the outskirts of Bolton on a sunny Monday.
We then began a seven-mile walk around the reservoirs built on the former estate of Lord Leverhulme.

The area had been packed the previous day with hundreds of contestants for the first "Iron Man" competition, which had left an indelible footprint throughout the walk with large quantities of mud to negotiate.
The weather remained fine throughout and we enjoyed a nice lunch in a local café.

As we walked through the beautiful scenery we were constantly reminded of our colleague Chris Rickman, who was on the last walk with us and passed away only a few days ago.
He will be sadly missed.
