South East Associates Laleham Walk - 12th February
Sadly, there was a downturn in the weather.
Seventeen
Associates and friends set out on a disappointing cold foggy morning,
as the weather had been lovely for days. Views across the Thames were
severely restricted as we crossed onto Penton Hook Island but we had
good company to compensate.
In the
village of Laleham we were lucky to meet a church officer working in
the churchyard and he kindly opened the church and gave us some history
of the building.

The walk was completed by crossing Laleham Abbey
Park and then setting off for refreshments at the Three Horseshoes just
as the sun broke through.

(No photographs because of the foggy weather, and hopefully the picture above is of the correct pub!)
