South East Associates
2009 Golf Competition
- April 2nd -
 |
Twelve
South East Associates
participated in the
Annual Golf Championships
on the challenging
Old Course
at
Burhill Golf Club
on a day which started off cloudy but finished in
bright and warm sunshine. |
The participants set off on their task, suitably refreshed by the bacon rolls and coffee beforehand, to become the SE UK Associates' champion for 2009.
The course was in excellent condition but it was a shame that the golf, and the scoring for the majority, couldn't match the conditions - see below.

It was also a pleasure to see colleagues and catch up on times gone past with P&G.
It was also good to welcome another new face to this golf competition and that was Ray Parslow from Gillette, Reading.
The honours board was as follows:
Nearest Pin
6th hole - Richard Phillips
13th hole - Paul Osborne
Longest Drive
15th hole - no result - no-one on the fairway
2nd Place
Jean Millen with 32 points
1st Place and 2009 South East Associate Champion
Richard Phillips with 36 points
Following the golf everyone enjoyed Burhill's hospitality and a two-course meal plus the superb ambience of Burhill's Clubhouse - The Mansion - following which the prizes and trophy were presented.

Special thanks must go to John Millen who once again arranged for his club to host this 2009 event, and to the Burhill Club and staff for all the help and service they provided.
Everyone is now looking forward to the 2010 event.
