South East Associates
Honesty Cookery School
- Tuesday 7th February -
|Fifteen Associates and guests attended the
Honesty Cookery School,
which is run by best-selling
What’s for Dinner?
author Romilla Arber.
The school is situated in a quiet rural location in North Sydmonton - just south of Newbury - in a beautifully constructed oak barn.
It runs courses designed to appeal to men and women covering many aspects of cooking - the one we participated in was the Eastern Mediterranean Feast.
After a welcome tea or coffee by the log fire, participants were given an introduction to Eastern Mediterranean spices and food by Oz, our enthusiastic Turkish teacher.
After that she guided our efforts to prepare a Mezze and dessert.
After preparing the dishes we sat down to eat the results of our efforts with a glass of wine.
It was a most enjoyable day and many of the participants said that they would be interested in another course at the school.
