Trip to Eastbourne
Today was to be a day at the seaside for 44 Associates from the London Plant Region. The weather was slightly overcast but still quite warm. Having boarded the coach at the usual point we headed off for The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells where a coffee stop had been arranged.
After refreshments had been enjoyed we boarded the coach once again and completed the journey to Eastbourne. Scott our driver dropped everyone off at the entrance to the pier which was central for all directions. Most people had a gentle stroll into town to browse the shops and find somewhere for lunch to be obtained.
Following lunch the Victorian tea rooms on the pier seemed to be the venue for afternoon tea.
At half past four everyone assembled once again at the pier head in readiness to make the journey back to Thurrock. The M25 for both the outward and return journey had been very kind to us with no delays. On arrival at the parking point all said their fond farewells and looked forward to the next trip which would be to Suffolk in July. Watch this space.......
